Electrical Engineer



An Electrical Engineer performs duties in research, design, developing and testing electrical equipment, components and systems. The position is responsible for organizing highly complex activities of the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent attention to detail and be able to direct and teach others as you work with the teams to produce the best products.

Essential Functions

  • Prepares technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, or topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
  • Operates computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Confers with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products.
  • Directs or coordinates manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.
  • Designs, implements, maintains, or improves electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or domestic purposes.
  • Prepares specifications for purchases of materials or equipment.
  • Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications.
  • Oversees project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Plans or implements research methodology or procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will have some supervisory responsibilities.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
